Career Outcomes

In just half a year, you’ll acquire the qualifications and portfolio typically expected from a much longer program. Graduates of IID’s 6-month course can pursue various entry-level to mid-level roles such as:
Interior Designer (Junior Level): Join interior design firms or architectural studios as a junior interior designer, working on residential or small commercial projects from concept to execution.

CAD Designer / Draftsperson: Specialize in technical drawings and layouts for design companies or furniture manufacturers, leveraging your strong AutoCAD skills. Interior Stylist or Decor Consultant: Work independently or with staging companies to style homes, events, or showrooms, using the keen eye for color and materials you developed. Design Project Coordinator: Assist senior designers or project managers in coordinating projects – from sourcing materials to managing on-site work – a role that benefits from your broad skill set. Freelance Interior Designer: Confidently take on your own clients for small-scale projects. With the comprehensive training and portfolio pieces from the course, many grads start consulting for home renovations or boutique projects. Further Education & Specialization: You’ll also be eligible for advanced diploma programs or even a second year of a longer program (where applicable), as you’ll have covered foundational and intermediate topics thoroughly.
